Molten Salt Heater
The Molten Salt Heater is a high-temperature industrial heating system that uses a mixture of potassium nitrate, sodium nitrite and sodium nitrate as the heat transfer medium.
By heating solid molten salt through electric heating or fuel combustion, the system converts the molten salt into a circulating heat transfer fluid at temperatures above 142°C. The molten salt then circulates through a closed-loop heating system to provide stable and efficient high-temperature process heat.
The Molten Salt Heater is designed for industrial applications requiring high-temperature heat transfer and can operate within a temperature range of 150–580°C.
Molten Salt Heating System Overview
Molten salt provides an efficient medium for high-temperature heat transfer. Unlike conventional water-based heating systems, molten salt systems can provide high-temperature process heat without relying on high-pressure steam.
The molten salt is heated to the required operating temperature and continuously circulated through the heating system and process equipment. After transferring heat to the process, the molten salt returns to the heater for reheating.
This creates a closed-loop heat transfer cycle with stable temperature control and efficient heat utilization.
